Erection and Its Relation to Aging
There comes a time in every man’s life when he comes face to face to the fact where his little Johnny turns out to be shy sometimes. Precisely this time is most vulnerable in terms of a man’s self-esteem and self-confidence. The problems related to erections are quite common among adult men. Truly speaking, all men face this problem occasionally. However, in some of the cases, this problem moves out with a little or no treatment at all. While in other cases, this can turn out to be a weapon for damaging man’s self-esteem, and in turn, sabotage his relationship with his partner.
So then, how would you make out about this problem? Well, as per facts, if you have difficulty in maintaining an erection more than 25% of the times, then its definitely a problem. As per olden beliefs, the problems of erection were just described as “mind games”, something similar to women’s PMS. And to make things worst, many men facing these problems even get advice from their sources such as “just relax”, or “Don’t worry…it will take care of itself”. But problems like these should never be taken lightly if they occur on regular basis.
The terminologies such as Impotence or erectile dysfunction refer to the inability of a man to achieve an erection which is satisfactory for a pleasurable intercourse. The age group of men facing these issues more often is the middle aged men, mostly in their 60s. As such there are various causes for this problem, but the factor of aging is the most remarkable one. For about 20% of males, this problem is just nothing more than psychological. On other hand, about one third is due to diseases which are related to physical health.
During some past years, the domain of medicines had been trying their best to come up with solutions to these problems by generating some enhancing treatments for impotence and erectile dysfunction. But now the question has changed a little. Now the question is that how a man should be treated? Should he use penile injection, vacuum pumps, prostheses, or medication? Similar to many other problems, even in this case the man should be physically examined as a first step. This step should be performed to rule out any side effects or injuries from medicine, and disorders such as high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, high cholesterol or multiple sclerosis. Especially in case of old people, such treatments should be tailored as per the physique of the individual.
